Mallex Smith fell victim to a crowded outfield situation in Atlanta and was traded to the Mariners today along with RHP Shae Simmons for two highly regarded pitching prospects, Luiz Gohara and Thomas Burrows, both lefties. Writer's Analysis: Smith should be on fantasy radars for his speed, but he'll have a hard time finding playing time in Seattle. Could be that Seattle could deal him elsewhere or he starts the year in Triple-A. He needs to develop offensively in order to increase his fantasy value. His defensive skills are solid.
